Description
Meda-Stim provides a comprehensive blend of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and botanical constituents to support the normal conversion of thyroid hormones, specifically T-4 to T-3. Once in the bloodstream, T3 and T4 are transported by thyroxine-binding globulin, thyroxine binding prealbumin, and serum albumin. T4 is converted to T3 by the liver, lungs, kidneys, and heart with the assistance of a selenium-dependent enzyme called Iodothyronine-5'-monodeiodinase. Subsequently, T3 is absorbed by appropriate target cells, where it is transported to the nucleus to activate transcription.
