Lactozyme serves as a supplementary source of probiotics containing Lactobacillus acidophilus (DDS-1) and Bifidobacterium bifidum organisms. Each tablet provides 50 million organisms of both Lactobacillus acidophilus (DDS-1) and Bifidobacterium bifidum when initially packaged. Antibiotics, while effective in eliminating bacteria, do not differentiate between beneficial and harmful ones. Consequently, following antibiotic treatment, the equilibrium between good and bad bacteria in the intestines can be disrupted. Probiotics play a crucial role in restoring this balance.

DOSAGE GUIDELINES : Suggested product and protocol dosages are generally for adult application.
Pediatric dosages are generally as follows:
- Breast-feeding infants – Full adult dose to be taken by the mother
- Infants less than one and not breast-fed – ¼ or less mixed with formula
- Children 1 to 5 – one-third the adult dose
- Children 6 to 12 – ½ the adult dose
- Children over 12 – full adult dose
